Duties:

The responsibilities and duties for this VP of Sales position include, but are not limited to, the following items:

Manage, train, develop, and mentor current (12) sales representatives
Hire, on-board, and train new sales representatives (space for 5 or more new hires)
Grow sales
Build sales team
Create and implement sales strategy
Develop compensation plan
Monitor sales representative's activities and call logs
Inspire sales representatives to drive new sales
Establish clear lines of communication
Champion change
Develop sales processes, procedures and standards
Review contracts
Analyze customers and evaluate nature of business
Collaborate with purchasing department and hold sales representatives to customer conversations and negotiations
Collaborate and communicate with warehouse
Vet new vendors and build close relationships
Travel locally and regionally (day trips with a few overnight stays)
