Pricing Analyst

Summary:

The pricing analyst will be responsible for category pricing and rebate programs at Baumann Paper Company. The position is also responsible for gathering key market intelligence for industry competitor offerings, proposing category product changes including the sell side category price position that aligns with the Baumann Strategic Plan. A successful candidate will be extremely detail oriented, having advanced knowledge of MS Excel and will be a key contributor to the financial performance of Baumann. Financial responsibility includes over $2.5 Million in recovered profits.

Duties:

Sell Side Pricing:
+ Review sell prices to various customer segments based on individual products and product groups.
+ Compare to external market sell prices.
+ Use this information to recommend sell prices to our sales team.
+ Focus on maximizing margins while remaining competitive in market.

Rebate Processing:
+ Match rebate information to customers
+ Manage database of rebate contracts and customer data
+ Ensure data integrity by reviewing reports of rebate matching
+ File claims with manufacturers
+ Review claims received back from manufacturers and process the return
+ Follow up on delinquent claims
+ Contact manufacturers for additional rebate contracts as needed

Purchasing Cost Support:
+ Work with purchasing to review market buy prices and incorporate rebated costs
+ Work with purchasing and sales to review bid costs and sell prices

Additional Duties:
+ Assist purchasing and accounting with additional tasks as time permits

Experience:

3 years experience

Education:

Bachelors degree in Math, Accounting, or related analytic degree required

Requirements:

Expert use of Microsoft Excel, OpenOffice Spreadsheet, or related spreadsheet program
Ability to learn new custom ERP program requirements
Strong command of the English language

Locations:

Candidate will be required to work out of our Lexington, Kentucky office for the first year. Thereafter, more flexible work hours can be negotiated.
