Business Development Manager

Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager (BDM) is to hunt, prospect and close new business by networking, cold calling, telemarketing or gaining referrals/testimonials. The BDM is responsible for presenting solutions for customer and prospect challenges as well as being a consultative seller. The BDM is responsible for retaining and growing existing clients as well as closing new business while meeting or exceeding assigned goals and objectives.

Duties:

Responsible for prospecting new clients, scheduling prospect and customer meetings, developing and delivering sales presentations, developing and preparing proposals and building successful relationships with new and existing clients.
Organize & Plan joint sales calls with vendors & the VP of Sales to deliver on growth expectations, goals and objectives.
Responsible for presenting & demonstrating equipment and products in the Baumann Paper Company product offering.
Responsible for communicating key market intelligence and pricing to the Pricing Analyst & VP of Sales.
Responsible for gaining and promptly communicating Voice of Customer feedback to the VP of Sales.
Responsible for working jointly with Purchasing and Pricing Analyst on individual bids as well as new customer proposals.
Contribute to the management of customer inventory at the request of the customer.
Participate in Tradeshows and Conferences at the request of the VP of Sales.
Responsible for utilization of Baumann Paper Company’s CRM.

Experience:

Proven track record of success with 3 or more years of sales experience preferred.
Previous experience in the Jan/San industry preferred.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required (concentration in business, management, marketing or entrepreneurship is preferred).

Requirements:

Travel: Approximate travel is 70%. Access to reliable transportation is required.

Bowing Green, KY
Owensboro, KY or Evansville, IN
Newport, KY or Northern Kentucky area

Experience using integrated software.
Ability to learn new custom ERP program requirements.
